I went to Total Indulgence because I received a gift certificate from a friend over 10 years ago and I'm still a client. My experience there was wonderful, I felt like I was family. The atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming. I've had my nails done before by other nail techs and what I received from Sandi was the best that I have ever had. If I have ever had a problem she doesn't hesitate to fix it. I have also had other services done there and have loved every experience. I have not had my hair done there, but I just love Jody, and she is very polite to all her clients and anyone else that walks thru that door. Again you are family at Total Indulgence not just another client, whether you have a gift certificate or you are a long time client, you are treated the same.

Pros: comfortable, flexible, friendly, clean

Having moved to Haddam fairly recently, I discovered Total Indulgence Day Spa in September. There is a wonderful feeling of "inclusion" which is so pleasant, especially to someone that is new to the area and missing familiarity of family and friends. The service has been excellent! The atmosphere warm and welcoming but most of all I have been very pleased with the service. It has been a very relaxing experience. So far, I have enjoyed the benefits of getting my nails done and also wonderful therapeutic massages. There are other services available that I intend to try in the future. Come and see for yourself! Pros: Very close to home, feels like home, very affordable!

Cons: Don't have enough time in my life to go every day!

I have never been that comfortable in a salon before. The atmosphere is like your in a home, with antiques, living rooms tastefully done, not stuffy, very casual, and the services were absolutly out of this world. The nail tech is very educated in foot care and does a beautifull job with artificial nails ( never had so much care gone into the appearance before and her nails were beautifull!!!), the facial was like none I have ever had and I am a spa junky. The massage was beautiful too!!!! The owner really cared if I was comfortable and happy, the receptionist was on the ball and extreemly pleasant, and accomodating. They have gift certificates, packages, and they do parties!!! I am going back, and I'm bringing my friends and packing a picnic lunch with wine and lots of goodies-you can do that here!!! This is my new favorite. It's such a nice little get away. You must go and try it the prices are awsome too, very, very affordable. What a treat!!! It's to bad that dec 24, 06 experiance was the way they say it was- I did not have that experiance, it was very pleasant, maybe it just was a freak incidence that they had. You can't always controle your family and what and when they are going to do. She's a hard working, single parent and proud business owner and loves her family- you can tell by all of the millions of family photos through the entire salon. Maybe cares to much about her parents. I'm going back!!!

Pros: It's close to home, right off the highway, very relaxing!!!

Cons: They are very busy and it's hard to get in, book ahead you'll love it!!!

I'm glad I found this site! If I'd found this back in February, I would have posted this comment sooner. I went to Total Indulgence back in February with a gift certificate and had an awful experience. It was not clean and but was very noisy. I expect phone calls to come in, but I don't think it appropriate for someone doing your nails to be on the phone the whole time. I don't plan on going back.

Pros: None other than it was close to home. I guess that was my first mistake.

Cons: noise, dirty, unorganized
