Don't let the shopping mall facade put you off. Vito's features excellent Chicago-style pizza, with thick crust and wonderful sauce with just a hint of sweetness. The real thing, not that Uno's chain fake. As a homesick Chicagoan, I was thrilled to discover Vito's. This is the founding restaurant, very convenient and also kid-friendly. Also try their wonderful classy restaurant on Bushnell Park in Hartford, as well as the modest branch in the center of Newington. Besides the pizza, they have wonderful entrees and decent wine. Enjoy! But as you are always warned, good deep-dish pizza takes time, so be prepared to wait. You can also get thin-crust if you are faint of heart or avoiding carbs....but why???

The eggplant pizza here is the BEST. I order it every time, and eveyone else "tries" it and it is always the first pizza gone.
