Great Food, EXCELLENT atmosphere
by treeguy1
It's a shame that Angello77's frustration with a telephone number got in the way of him realizing that the fine reputation set forth by the Vono family for delicious food and superb service (that he himself mentions)is alive and well in Somers Ct. I have been to the Somers location MANY times for take out and sitdown service. The waitstaff is always welcoming, the food is fresh and delicious and there is always a smile and a hello yelled from Frankie in the back. The young women who have taken my orders over the phone have always been polite while ensuring me that I had reached the Somers locale. At the take out window they are always quick to bring my order and offer a friendly greeting. Every visit has been a pleasant one and I always look forward to the next. Never have I experienced nor witnessed the drama of which Angello77 spoke. Please do not let his review dissuade you from trying the Somers location and making your own decision. You'll be glad you did!!!
- Pros: great atmosphere!
- Cons: n/a
Customer service skills need to be relearned!
by Angelo77
I live in Enfield and have been to both Frankie's locations, but will not go back to the somers location. A clean restaurant does not make up for terrible owners/workers. They are so rude to customers who ask about the other location, a location that they built their reputation on and a location where they got their phone number from. If they want nothing to do with the Enfield location why did they have to take the phone number and confuse the public. It's their own falt that customers keep asking about the other location when THEY themselves put theirselves in the middle like that. Just get your own phone number. Did they feel they needed the number to get customers to their location? Lets just say if thats the case then once people go to Somers once, they won't go back. Who wants to be involved in their drama, a drama they created for themselves. I SUPPORT FRANKIE"S in ENFIELD, the only FRANKIE"S in my book. If your reading this reveiw and like the Frankie's in Somers, try the enfield location, 138 South rd, better food, pizza crust is just like their old man used to make it. Fluffy, flakey, and cooked to order; lite, well, thin or thick. They have got the true recipe for great food and service.
- Pros: prices were good
- Cons: too many to name, read my review

In response to the bad review...

I think it's horrible when people judge on what they THINK is going on! I don't know this families whole business nor do i feel it's a strangers place to, but i do know that I prefer the one in Somers for many reasons, a few of which are that its cleaner, the staff are very friendly and the food at this one i believe tastes like his old man from the pizza to the marinara sauce and everything in between, after all this one is run by a Frank. To the person who wrote the bad review on here, maybe you should ask why they have the # instead of making up your own story!
- Pros: Very clean, warm, friendly place!
- Cons: Hard to find parking b/c they get so busy
This place has the best pizza I have ever had. The crust is awesome and the party pizza's are huge

I don't understand the confusion regarding the 2 Frankie's Firehouse Restaurants. One is in Enfield in a dumpy empty strip mall and has nothing to do with Frankies is Somers. The Somers restaurant is so clean and cheery. It is a free standing building with a great take-out window for easy customer pickup service. The waitstaff is superb and the restaurant appears to have a steady flow of regular customers. I'm very picky about pizza and I have to say, it's the best crispy crust I've ever had. I've gone back to Enfield once and there was no comparison. I won't make that mistake again. Consider me a Frankie's Somers Fan from here on end.
Great Pizza for the price

Frankie's Firehouse in Somersville has the best pizza around. The fresh pizza dough cooks up light and crisp and they use the freshest ingredients. Party size pizza's have something like 50 slices to them which makes this a good choice for those big parties or football games.
- Pros: Have eaten here several times. Haven't had a bad pie yet.
Theres better

Very expensive....Prices 50% more than normal. (Compare $15.37 for a medium pepperoni pizza to $9.76 at another nearby resturant)
The Pizza quality itself is below average. The location is poor.
The only visible pro is fast service...
- Pros: Service
- Cons: Food, Value, Location

Firehouse "Burns" the Competit
by Lurelie5184
I've actually eaten at the resturant only once, and all I've ever had from Frankie's was the pizza, but it is, without a doubt, the best. I've eaten it many times (take-out) and it can be compared to no other.
- Pros: Best Pizza, Delivery/Take-out, good parking
- Cons: Empty plaza(strangely
