Great food...Bartender from HELL

My wife and I recently came to Georgina's on a Saturday and it was fairly busy in the dining room, so we opted to eat at the bar. We had not eaten in the bar before and it was understandable why. Not only did the bartender act like we were a huge burden on her, she started yelling at another waitress right in front of everyone. This wasn't a simple scolding, this was an actual argument and the bartender continued to get louder. My wife and I felt extremely uncomfortable by this and we could tell others at the bar shared our same thought. We really enjoyed the food but I do not think we could ever eat in the bar ever again after that experience.

• Cons: Bartender/Uncomfortable atmosphere

Great Food!

I was tired of eating at the same old restaurants, so I went looking for a new place....and I found Gerogina's! I had a veal dish which was excellent. My wife had chicken parm. We loved the large portions. We will surley be back soon and would reccomend this restaurant to anyone!

Wonderful dining experience

I just wanted to take a moment to say how great Georgina's food and service were when my family dined there recently. We were greeted by the owner, George, upon our arrival, which was so nice. Our waitress, Sue, was extreamly curteous. The portions were large and the food was excellent. I will definintly be bringing my family back there soon!

gone downhill

I have been dinig at georginas for years now, but I will no longer be dining there. I give the wait staff a A+ but the quality in food has gone down hill. They were once known for the excelent garlic bread, and now you get a piece of bread that is under cooked or over cooked on one side. The diner salads are the worst. I think Goerge needs to go eat at some different resturaunts in the area and take some notes. Maybe he doesnt worry about the quality of the food anymore since he has his banquet business . It is no longer the family resturaunt where you could taste the pride taking into each dish. What a shame.

best restaurant

My family and I just love this restaurant it has everything we like, our favorites are the different parnigian dishes, my 10 year old loves the huge kids menu his favorite is the kids fettuccine alfredo. I my self love seafood and for an Italian restaurant Georgina's definitely stand neck and neck with the big fish restaurants. It's a beautiful clean restaurant for anybody to enjoy.

Good Service, bad food

I went to Georgina's on 09/01/09. We had SAUSAGE & PEPPERS PARMIGIANA. The Sausage had clearly been precooked-and was over cooked when reheated. The peppers were fine, but i also got the sense they had been pre-cooked and merely reheated under a Salamander with the sauce and cheese. speaking of the sauce, it was horrible-bland-with no flavor depth. It was not homemade, they were to lazy for even that small step in good Italian cooking. The sauce was probably from a can. As for the Veal Picatta, that was better but still not good. Too much pasta, and the veal scallopini was too large and needed to be cut in order to eat. The wine butter sauce was bland, not enough garlic. They were generous with the capers-but not with the mushrooms. The sauce also tasted pre-made. Sinse a picatta sauce isn't that complicated, merely blending the capers, wine and butter with the sauteed mushrooms. Why can't they just make that to order! It wasn't good. It is a shame that they just don't take a little more time to actually make some food on site. It is not that hard to open a good quality can of San Marzano tomatoes, cook quickly with garlic, dried spices even, and maybe a few fresh basil leaves, salt and pepper to taste and vuala. a delicious and fast sauce!

New to the Area

Just moved to the area. Very nice restaurant, met the owner, nice guy. The staff were really warm and the food was Italian at its best..a great family restaurant, and a great place to do lunch with some business friends..

A Family Favorite

This is the place where my family goes whether for Italian food or pizza. The staff is excellent and always pleasant and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and you can depend on it for lunch the next day as the portions are quite large. Time after time I never get tired of Georgina's and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to eat.
