Steve does great work. My girlfriend and I both have gone there and he far exceeded anything we could have hoped for. We both came in with ideas of what we wanted done and he expanded on those ideas and made them even better. The atmosphere inside is great and Steve is a great guy to talk to. He is extremely honest and knowledgeable when talking and will tell you straightforward what will look good and what won't as time goes by. His prices are very good, but don't think that his price reflects the quality of his work because what he does is absolutely outstanding. I will go to him for all the work I get in the future.

Pros: Good price, excellent work, great atmosphere, everything else

This is old school tattooing at its best. Steve is great, has such artistic talent. I came in with one idea and came out with a creative tattoo that fulfilled my original idea and more. Steve prides himself in the care of his clients, wants to assure the tattoo is done in a clean manner and you heal well and look great. I'll be back for more!

Pros: artistic talent, cleanliness, really cares about his client.

All I had to do was show Steve the portraits that I wanted done and I could not believe the outcome. Every where I go people know exactly who they are of. His black and grey work is the best around. He was right to the point and knew exactly what he was talking about. I have also have had him do some old school work and I could not have asked for a better job. His artistic abilities are awesome. He is very clean in his shop and takes no s***. I have seen his work at different competitions and have seen the awards he has one. He is very humble when it comes to his awards. I recommend him to anyone that wants a fantastic tattoo.

Pros: very clean, fun enviroment, makes you feel very comfortable, cares about its customers

I went to Steve with one idea for a leg piece, and he added so much to it and it came out superb. i love all my tattoos that Steve has done on me. He is backed by one of the biggest doctors in the US. He has won about 30+ trophies and awards for his work done. His work is just phenomenal. I recommended his place to my friends and everyone of them that had gotten work done by him has been satisfied beyond belief. The atmosphere in the tattoo parlor is just awesome, hes not stuck up at all and is easy to get along with. I recommend Steve to anyone who wants to get work done, he treats everyone so nicely. His custom work is amazing, he draws it up right in front of your eyes where as other places I've been to say "come back later and i'll have it drawn up" and they say its their own custom work and i would see it on some tattoo flash page. His prices are very reasonable, i went to some other place and got a quote for $350 and he charged me $150 for it and the ink came out so beautifully. So if your working for some ink i HIGHLY recommend this place for getting your work done!

I would abslouty recommend Phantom Ink to anyone who is considering getting a tattoo. Steve is very creative and an amazing artist. I went in there with less than half an idea and he turned it into a beautiful work of art. He is very experienced, as he has been doing it for 18 years. His prices are very fair and the quality, and the results are priceless. He had been awared with many trophies, plaques, and has been published in tattoo magazies. His work is very orignal, and is one to take an everyday, over used tattoo and turn it into something unique and beautiful. Steve is also very honest, sometimes to the point where some may think he is rude, but I look at it as he is speaking with experience. He is a great guy, easy to talk to and sets a very comfortable enviroment. I absolutly love my tattoo. I f you are considering getting a tattoo consider phantom ink. I garuntee you will feel the same as I do, and be very pleased with your new tattoo!

Steve is the greatest. I've done my research before going to get inked and i felt he was my best bet and man was i right. me and my girlfriend walked out with two of the most artistic custom pieces we have ever seen. We recomend Phantom to anyone who wants an awesome piece which people will compliment on. Steve makes you feel like a friend or a family member.

Steve has been freinds with my father John for several years and is an amazing artist who really loves what he does. He is excellently educated on what methods to use and how to talk to people. He is very straight forward and will try to make sure that the work that you leave with is something you will appreciate for the rest of your life. I recommended Steve to several of my freinds and they have all came out with beutiful work and very satisfied with their health and knowing what they have to do to take care of their new ink

I am currently in the middle of having a complete back piece done by Steve at Phantom Ink. I've been tattooed by a couple of other artists in the past, and none were as knowledgeable about their craft, as friendly, or as skilled as Steve is. He is certified by the CT Board of Health and is extremely health conscious. His free hand drawing skills are amazing.....anything you can think of, he can do.I would definitely recommend Phantom Ink to anyone in the Bristol / Forestville area who is looking to get some ink.

I found the artist at Phantom Ink a little rough around the edges (personality-wise, but that adds to the charm) and very straightforward. He explained to me which things would hurt more or less, what would look better, and drew several talented sketches of the artwork I wanted. He was also incredibley safety and health-risk conscious. He gave thorough post-tattoo care instructions, and while I was there, several other customers came in and spoke about his talent on their tattoos as well. I came away confident about my health and with a tattoo that was much more artistic and beautiful than I had expected.
