With 165 different bottled beers in the fridge and over 20 on tap, the Spigot may be the best place in the city to just sit back and have a cold one.

The Scene:
It's always the customers who make the bar. At the Spigot, those loyal patrons have established this as one of the oldest traditions in the city. Owned by the Taylors since 1963, the Spigot features no food, no music, just drink. Twenty years ago, the family made the bold plan to stock the bar with as many different beers as possible; that alone seems to be what draws the mid-twenties crowd. A few years ago, a traveler from England sat at the bar and told the owner, "This reminds me of my favorite pub back home." Some nights the local softball teams may pack the Cafe, other nights it may be the dart league throwin' over a pitcher of beer, but whoever's there has ensured that the Spigot will remain one of the real deal night spots in the city.

Must Have Drinks:
Hoegaarden, Pilsner Urquell.
