"Ambassador of India tastefully fills the gap between Curry Row-style cheap eats and pricey Indian fusion". Fantastic Food!! Superb Service!!

Good news for coconut based food lovers. Here is a place where you can get the best coconut based curries.

You will be treated as an real "Ambassador".

My favourite Indian restaurant in USA!. I visit my daughter in the US once a year and Ambassador of India is one place I have to go to on every visit.

Earlier we visited the Glastonbury restaurant , but this time we decided to try their new one opened in Hartford and were equally delighted. The ambience here is excellent! We were searching for a place to treat some of my daughters work colleagues and this was just the perfect choice. The food quality was very good. I especially liked the Sukka Manglorian Lamb, Gobi Manchurian and Murg Achari Kebab. Havent tried the lunch buffet yet, but now I am tempted to!

Excellent Indian. The menu is broken into five main sections, plus there is a separate beverage menu: appetizers, tandoor oven, curries, breads, and dessert. (There are also cocktails, beer, and tea sections.) Starters range in price from $5-$9, curries from $10-$18 and tandoor from $14-$18,with the exception of Lamb Chops ? they are exceptionally good! sides from $3-5, and condiments $2-3 and dessert from $5-$6

We ordered two starters, the Portabella Masala and Chicken Kaleji Ghotala. The Portabella reminded me of some high end Restaurant in Manhattan and the Kaleji Ghotala brought back memories of my days in Bombay, when I used to eat Kaleji in Mohamad Ali Road, with my friend Vikas. Both the starters were out of this world, every one should try them. Two Tandoors we ordered were Lamb Chops and Panir Malai kebab, they were great, the chops were a bit dry but very flavorful. Our curries were Malvani Chicken and Mirchi Ka Salan. The Salan was second to any good Restaurant in Hydrabad.

They started us with some free pappadam and tamarind chutney. Good. No oily off-taste, just light and crisp.

The naan was excellent, crispy on one side, intermittently puffed and splotched on the other. The texture was stretchy and almost shiny smooth.

For dessert, my wife got the Mango Mousse and I got the Cheese Cake. Not so sweet like most dessert which was really nice.

I m waiting to go again. The owners should keep up the hard work.
