Very Good Food. We enjoyed our dinner at the Tea House. The Pad Thai was very good and the General's Tofu with vegetables and rice was great. Dining at the Tea House was a pleasant experience and our waitress was efficient and friendly. The decor was very pleasant and soothing and we enjoyed celebrating our wedding anniversary here. We look forward to returning to the Tea House.

REAL chinese food straight from Canton. So, I am currently a waitress and a hostess at this restaurant. Reading the reviews below, especially the one from "Tollander" ..... clearly he is extremely mistaken and does not understand the goal of this restaurant. I understand many people have their own opinions on the food, but let's a few things straight here. First, the service is "extremely" slow because the there is usually only one waitress. So, wouldn't you be more considerate and think about how hard it is for the waitress to handle EVERY SINGLE TABLE on her own? of course, we would like to bring fast service, but when people complain about the slow service on the weekends .... no can do guys. there are a million takeouts with the phone ringing every minute alongside with many people that are dining in. There's only so much you can do, thank you very much. If you look with your pretty eyes, the waitress/waitresses want nothing more than to make their customer happy by providing them with anything they want. But no, people complain to their own satisfaction just because. so lame.

As for the Thai dish Mr. Tollander had down there, he clearly doesn't know real Thai food when he comes across from it. Our chef has been rated one of the top chefs across Connecticut and he originally resided in Canton, China, which by the way, is where REAL chinese food originated from. So in insist that people start being more considerate and understanding and realize that Tea House really is the only restaurant in CT that has decent chinese food to say the least.

Last Review was Dead Wrong!. If you are looking for the best chinese food in Tolland county, then The Tea House is the place for you. The rice is always cooked to perfection and the crab rangoons are uniquely different and quite good. My husband swears they have the best General's chicken around. I have never tried their Thai food, so I cannot comment on it, however the chinese food is Awesome. The only downfall to the Tea House is the service which is extremely slow.

Worst Asian food around!. I promise you'll leave hungry and I LOVE Asian food. I just couldn't stomach what was served to me at this restaurant. I should have known...when a restaurant claims to cook Thai, Chinese, Japanese, etc. You know the adage, jack of all trades...master of none. I ordered the Thai dish, Thailand's national dish, and it was the worst I've ever had. I stopped after 2 bites and it goes against my grain normally to waste food, but I made an exception here. I won't EVER go back. Disgusting!
