High ceilings, soft jazz and dim lighting create a relaxed setting for dining and conversation at this downtown establishment. The menu offers a variety of traditional pastas, steak and veal, but regulars flock for the Mario Combination Seafood--cheese-stuffed pasta purses tossed in a melange of shrimp, scallops, clams, roasted peppers, Gorgonzola cheese and light lemon sauce. If you have room to spare, dig into creamy tiramisu.

I've had my share of bad restaurant experiences. But Cugino's II is by far the worst. I cannot even use the word "slow" for the service. There was NO service. One hour and 15 minutes after we ordered our entres, we had to leave. We were not even offered an apology or part of the drinks taken off the bill. We were not the only unhappy ones. During that 1 hour and 15 minutes of painful wait, we had a chance to mingle with other tables. Almost everyone was aggrevated by the wait. Unfortunately there is nothing I can recommend about this restaurant. Absolutely terrible service.

My family and I went for dinner 2 hours before a civic center event Friday 12/16/05. We were seated promptly and a waiter immediately brought us water and bread. After 15-20 minutes of waiting we had to call over a waiter to take our drink and dinner orders. We then waited and hour and a half for our food to arrive and this was only after we complained. In the meantime no one ever came to refill our water or get us another round of drinks. The food was not that great when it finally did arrive, I ordered a chicken parm and it did not even come with any pasta. We definitley will not be going back to Cuginos and I will rec others looking elsewhere for dinner.
