Misleading and rude

Made an appointment for our dog who has bad allergies. The lady told me 30 something dollars on the phone and when i get there its 40 something because its a skin problem diagnosis. I was not only told fale information but they never even looked at our dog !!! Plus the Receptionist was rude and very unconcerned about the welfare of our dog and just seemed like she hated her job. Then do us a favor and find a new job! Now our dog has to suffer longer because of this "LOW income pet care". Its total Bull!!!!They had the audacity to have ANIMAL PLANET HoUSTON on the TV..And its a pure contridiction in what service they are providing..in the end my quote of 30 plus dollars turned to $60 and that doesnt include any meds that might be needed...such lack of concern and compassion for animals...they should be closed down for animal cruelty!!!!
- Pros: none
- Cons: everything

you pay for what you get... If you want quality care go somewhere else! sometimes the cheaper prices are not worth it and this is that kinda place... seems all they can do is basic things such as exams and spays and neuters and forget about xrays you have to schedule those on a separate day! hmm... you mean I came all this way and I have to come back? whatever! ill pay the higher prices for higher level of care
- Pros: Cheap prices
- Cons: Bad Client Care
WASTE OF TIME......

My dog was diagnosed with kidney stones 2 years ago and received surgery to remove them. I recently noticed that she was showing symptoms of having the kidney stones again and contacted Fox Memorial Clinic because the surgery for kidney stones is very expensive and my vet informed me that their prices were significantly less than the average vet . I had to leave 3 messages over a two week period of time just to get someone to call me back for an appointment. It's next to impossible to get someone live when you call in, nine times out of ten you talk to an answering machine. When I finally got a call back, I explained to the receptionist the problem that my dog was having in detail and she set up a time for us to come in. I live an hour away from the Fox Memorial Clinic but I felt that it was worth the drive due to the significant difference in cost for surgical procedures, x-rays, etc... At the appointment, they charged me $37.00, took a quick look at my dog and told me that the kidney stones needed to be diagnosed by taking x-rays and we would have to make another appointment for that. They said that the first appointment is normally an evaluation. Huh??? I asked if they had anyone in house that could do the x-rays and they confirmed that they did but they said that was not their normal procedure. I explained that I live an hour away and it would make more sense to get a diagnosis right then and there and they would not accommodate that. The told me that if I felt it were an emergenct, I should take my dog to an emergency clinic!!! So basically, I drove an hour and paid $37.00 for someone to tell me that my dog needs an x-ray that will probably take me another 10 calls to schedule 4 weeks from now. Let me also mention that they aren't the friendliest people I've ever talked to. With that said, my dog is going to her normal vet tomorrow where she will get an evaluation and x-rays in one appointment. The hassle and aggravation isn't worth the lower prices....
