The whole package! Not only does my hair look great after I walk out of Capellini Salon, but it looks great after my cut too! I have had a cut from more than one of the "artists" at Capellini and I always love my hair cut each time. Also, I just love being there! I feel welcome, happy and pampered every visit!
Absolutely WONDERFUL all around!! Suzanne is not only professional, she is an artist! I feel like I have been dropped into my body! I continue to receive incredible compliments and I can honestly say I have never felt so beautiful. The love that Suzanne and Reese have for one another is felt throughout the Salon!
Best Haircut I Ever Had. I just had my second haircut at Capellini's with Michelle. After the my first haircut with Michelle, I received non-stop compliments so I didn't think I could possibly have the same kind of reactions from people after the second haircut, but I did. The first came out fantastic. Not only did people compliment it right and left, but I actually had a parent at the school where it teach say that all the kids were talking about how great my haircut was and that she agreed! Then, Michelle gave me my second haircut, listening carefully to what I was interested in and giving me suggestions and ideas, which I loved and decided to go with. She was absolutely meticulous with her haircut. The proof came today when the first person aside from my family who saw it said, "Wow what a great haircut! It makes you look 20 years younger!" Not only did I get a great haircut both times, but the owners and people who worked there were so pleasant. It was really more like going to a gathering of friends and getting pampered than going to get a typical haircut.
Capellini Salon is one of the rarest of salons where from the moment I walk into the salon I am greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. There is a gentle yet enthusiastic atmosphere and my cuts and color

Don't Go!!!. Attitude and expensive to boot - how lucky can you get? So pleased that business is so good where they can kick a loyal customer to the curb because of a scheduling misunderstanding. Don't bother going here when there are So many other salons in West Hartford! You've been warned.

Bad Experience. I very rarely contribute a review on-line, but my experience with Capellini was bad enough to warrant one. If you do not mind going to a salon that breaks/changes appointments with little notice and a hairdresser who ignores your stated desires and does what she (Suzanne) wants, Capellini Salon may be for you.
Another perfect haircut at Capellini!. I've been to many upscale salons in my time, but none has matched Capellini for all around excellence. Suzanne is by far the most talented and intelligent stylist I've ever known. Because of her expertise and caring, my hair has never looked better. The location is great, the decor is lovely, the customer service sets the standard and everyone at Capellini is smart, funny, and kind.This is one great salon. We are so lucky to have it in our area.
Best place in the tri-state area!!. Not only do you get a great hair cut every time, but you're treated as one of the family. This is an example of what American small business owners should strive to be like. All of the people working there are great and they will go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. I've lived in NH, MA, and CT and this place is by far the best salon I've ever had the pleasure of going to. I highly recommend this place if you're tired of those "mass production" hair cutterys where their only goal is to get you out of there as soon as possible to make way for the next victim. I never have to worry about my hair cut when going to Capellini...Just remember this, the one thing that everyone notices is your hair. Make it a good impression.

You are correct, our salon is upbeat and clean. Yes, we do make an effort to know the names of our guests. Yes, we do send thank you notes to our 1st time clients. And yes, until we run out, we give to our new customers the holiday gifts that we gave to our existing clients. You call it marketing. We call it our minimum customer service.
We guarantee that all of our services (including customer service) is better than you have experienced in any other hair salon. We do this by employing only skilled and talented artists who love people as well as their art.
Our haircuts range from fifty to one hundred dollars depending upon the stylist. Salons of our caliber do not and cannot charge $17.00 to $33.00 for a haircut.
While no salon is for everyone, Capellini Salon is for discerning clients who know and expect the difference. Simply because you cannot see the difference does not mean that it is not there.

the marketing of this clean, up-beat salon is the best I've come across in my career!....the skills of marketing unforunately can't come close to the skills of hair styling, cutting, etc.
Reese will very successfully try to sell Suzanne as a expert sytlist better than New York or Boston, LA., etc..all stylists will learn your name so that you will feel wonderful when you walk in-they will shower you with compliments, beverages, cookies, and give little gifts of appreciation for their 3 times high fees as any other salon around (very high)-and then send you a note thanking you for your business-marketing at their best.
What about the actual haircut, color and other treatments? they are not any better than the local cost cutters at a fraction of Cappellini's price. If you need to be marketed and convinced how wonderful you are and how they are better than anyone else around then this is your place to foolishly spend your hard-earned money.
