THE WORST SERVICE EVER!. This is the worst furniture store I have ever been to. We are setting up our new home and first of all we went looking for a sofa and a love seat. Due to some reason, we chose Pilgrim City ..The furniture at the store were very over-priced. After spending few hours we finally found a sofa and a recliner chair that fits our need. We placed the order and they agreed they will deliver the furniture to our house.

When the furniture arrived the sofa was in good condition but recliner was damaged. They took back the recliner and send another one few days later. The second one was also damaged (the same way the first one was.. odd huh!!) .. So, I had to refuse the delivery again.

The delivery guys tried to call the service number from home but nobody picked. They took the furniture back.. Next day when I called the customer service, they person told me that "We guarantee that next time we will deliver a fresh piece" (Doesn't that indirectly mean they did not deliver a new one the first time?).

I was very disappointed and I wanted to talk to a manager. The service person will not transfer me to the manager.

When I called the customer service the next time, there is a twist to the story. The person says when they inspected the returned recliner, there was no damage. (That means, their delivery guys and me, all of us are lying)

Now, I lost trust in the way they are doing business and did not want furnitures from them. I asked them to return my money and take the furniture away. That's when they said there will be a 20% restocking fee. (for a $850 furniture that is $170 immediate profit .. Nice business huh!!)

Finally I got a hold of their manager and he was kind enough to take the furniture back without a restocking fee. In short, what was supposed to be a nice experience, turned into big tension and waste of time. Now we are back to square one, back in the market looking for sofa and love seat. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE AGAIN.. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

Customer is NEVER right at Pilgrim Furniture. After much research, I purchased a mattress from Pilgrim Furniture. Big mistake. The saleswoman never left me alone. She didn't show me any inexpensive mattresses and barely let my head turn in their direction. I mentioned my hesitation to the saleswoman about purchasing a mattress from Pilgrim as they do not offer a 30 day trial period like the bedding stores do. She assured me if I was unhappy, that Pilgrim would return the mattress. When closing the deal, I mentioned again my hesitation and she again reassured me. 10 days later I called Pilgrim to return the mattress as it was hurting my back -- they REFUSED. The saleswoman got on the phone and she denied ever saying that to me. I spoke with a Mgr who refused to do anything. He basically told me I was lying and that the saleswoman would never say that. I asked to have one of the owners call me -- they never called. If you aske me, the saleswoman said anything to 'get the sale'. I trusted her - my mistake. I will NEVER purchase anything from Pilgrim again. In addition, I live 5 miles away and their delivery charge is $129.99 !!
