Great Music...Service was terrible
by E0504 at Citysearch
Their Mother's Day Brunch was not what I expected. The food was ok, the service was terrible, it took the waitress 25 minutes to get me an orange juice, they ran out of plates 4 times!! and an 18% gratuity was included in our bill, I thought that was only for parites over 6 we were only 3. Over all it was not very well organized. I would not go back for the brunch. The only thing that was good, was the music.
- Pros: Music
- Cons: service & prices

Black Eyed Sallys is one of my favorite restaurants in Hartford. The food is outstanding and the service is exceptional. I love crabcakes and get them all the time whenever they are on any menu.Black Eyed Sallys has the best crabcakes in this area. This may be my favorite restaurant. This is where I take my friends and family when I want an exceptionly good meal
- Pros: crabcakes music
- Cons: none
Tasty Grub!
by jwyounge at Citysearch
Lunch with hubby on a Friday was fairly quick and very tasty. I had fried trout, which was piping hot and plentiful. My hubby had a BBQ samich w/ andouille sausage. Of course it didn't compare to Memphis.....hello, we're in CT! All in all, a great experience. Can't wait to hear live music in the p.m. in the very near future. :-)
- Pros: Food, Staff, Outdoor seating
- Cons: I always say $, I'm a bargain shopper.
better 'cue
by dontut at Citysearch
Black eyed Sally's is a fun place to go, I'll give you that. But for anyone who has been down south or out to Memphis, the 'cue leaves much to be desired! Fly some ribs in from the Rondevous in Memphis for some REAL 'cue that you'll remember for ever!
- Pros: Fun atmosphere, good service
- Cons: average food
