AWESOME salon, best cut/color ever, best customer service!!!. Joel, the owner, will do almost anything for an unhappy customer, so don't let one bad review deter you from this awesome salon! I've been going there 5+ yrs and I always get so many compliments on my hair that it has become "my thing"! Prices there can't be beat for both services AND products! and the "spoil me" visits are just that, and free to boot :)

does he know how to cut hair?. should have known better when I called and got right in for cut and color. asked for lighter summer blond color and got lighter orange tone blond, my hair cut consisted of straight across the back cut, then 4 more drawn up in his hands cuts for the sides and top...his idea of layering, as for my bangs...well, my mom use to do the same thing when I was a kid, yep, straight blunt bangs.....live and learn, at least it will grow back and I WON'T be going back.

great experience all around!. This place has some of the best customer service I have had at a salon. They genuinely care that you are getting what you want and are enjoying the experience while you are there. Very polite and offer suggestions as well incorporate what you ask for. My hair comes out great every time I get it done at Shear Elegance, especially the color! They also have great hours and are open pretty late which is super convenient.

I highly recommend getting your hair done at Shear Elegance! The customer service and styling are unmatched!

Awesome Colorist. I have been a client at Shear elegance for many years. The service is always wonderful. The owner does my hair and is very skilled in the color department. He has a natural feel for what looks good on people and knows how to pull it off. I have never had a bad experience here, unlike a few other area salons I have visited. The owner is always courteous, polite and listens to my ideas of what I want done to my hair, and he makes me comfortable with the process it will take to get the look I want. I would definitely recommend!!!

Top notch service. I have been a regular customer of Shear Elegance for about the last 2 years. The owner has always been my colorist/stylist, and he does a great job. I like that if I need to move an appointment, I can do so with no hassle, and pamper visits, special offers and follow-up thank you notes are a very nice touch - they make me feel as though my business is appreciated.

It isn't always easy to find a salon or hairstylist when you have decided to switch - but I got tired of my previous salons' rate increases, and general lack of customer service (they had strange hours, and no one ever returned messages left on their answering machine). I tried Shear Elegance out after seeing a cute haircut on a girl who has curly hair like I do, and decided to give them a go. I have not been disappointed.

I will say that when I first got my hair colored, I was not sure about how intense the highlights were, and the owner called me a few days later (knowing that I was a bit apprehensive about color to begin with) to find out how I liked it - when I told him I thought it was a little too much for me, he had me come in that day to tone down the highlights. I left happy - because he knows if I'm not happy, I won't be back. I believe he strives to make his other customers happy as well - but sometimes there is just no pleasing folks. Communication is the key - if there's something you don't want or don't like, speak up. Or go elsewhere.

Do not go here!. I cannot recommend this salon at all. At first my experience was great. (The owner is very good at coloring hair.) Then things changed. He started using less expensive, lesser quality coloring products. He went from using Goldwell to Paul Mitchell. I told him the PM dried out my hair. He insisted it was a great product. (Who knows my hair better than I do? No one.) He knew I was beginning to become unhappy so he began giving me free products just about all of the time. The last straw was when he cut my hair too short even after I stressed that I did not want it that short. Then he admitted to me that he is not even a professionally trained hairdresser. Colorist, yes but hairdresser, no! It took me almost a year to grow out the damage the owner did to my hair. My current hairdresser even showed me how he cut my hair wrong.

The owner did the same thing to all of my friends and now none of us get our hair cut at Shear Elegance.
