Cardio Express is OK

I enjoy the free classes and find the trainer very helpful. I feel that too many of the cardio machines are broken, no sound, fuzzy, no outlet to plug, etc. sometimes I have to go to a least three or four treadmills before I can find one that has a working TV. I do think more uptodate cardio machines are needed.

I enjoy the newly renovated facility with the ceilings reparied new light fixtures, etc. However the carpet needs to go! on the floor with the weights it is tore or worn down. How about the same type of floor that is in the weight area. the black floor without the carpet....that should be all over. also the walls have holes in the workout area...but the new carpet in there is way better than the previous one.

I come to this gym because it is close and I like the staff and the equipment. The rate is good.

Terrible customer service. Hidden Charges. False advertisement, where they say the rate is a certain price and then charge you more fees that weren't on the adds. They are shysters. Hot, stinky facility. The carpets have stains, there are holes in the walls. They closed down for a week and told all Manchester members to go to the Vernon branch. Did I mention they are over crowded? and they expected Vernon to accept double capacity? I asked customer service if they could tack on a week for my prepaid membership since I paid for services that I did not recieve for the week they were closed. They pulled some "its in the rules BS and we can't give you a replacement/refund". I felt that they shystered each member out of $5ish for that week. Its not even about the $5, its about the principal. Awful place. Drive the extra minutes to go somewhere else. Tons of machines are broken. Bathrooms smell awful. Pay the extra money to have respect from someone you are paying your money to. Only reason I gave it a 20% was because the place has work out equipment, and because it has tv's on all the cardio equipment. If you ever walked out of the place and then right back in. They will say "hi how are you doing today?" again. They are like automated robots.

Good Cardio/Bad Weights

I've been here a few times as a guest. They have a decent selection of cardio equipment, no complaints there. The issue for me is the weight section. They have a mediocre selection machines that are very haphazardly scattered around. There is also really nothing for free weights. Just a few dumbells in their all-purpose room.

If you're going for cardio, this is a good gym, but real fitness needs some sort of weight training, and I did not think they met this requirement. I much prefer planet fitness, even though the manchester location doesn't have the best free-weight section.

I would point out that I am a girl...and if I think weights are lacking...if you're a guy you'll probably feel more strongly about it.

I do like that they never give the guests a hassle. I recall trying to bring guests to LA Fitness and getting them bullied into memberships. Cardio Express never even asked me, I just showed my ID and filled out a form.

3 scoops of jack3d and NO ENTRY

WOW, where do I start with this piece of s*it gym !? I call up the gym to ask if there is a free trial and the guy explains to me yes there is a 7-day free trial for the gym. I'm a college student and its 12:00am, my boys and I have been sleeping all day and decided we wanted to lift some steel so we decided to head down to cardio express. We each take some pre-work out jack3d and are ready to destroy the weights, bumping Biggie and 2Pac on the way down getting all jack3d up. We pull up to the gym with one mission, destroy these weights for a good 2 hours. We get inside this place and are ready to go. I tell the dumbo with the ears sticking out like suicide doors at the front that I just called and wanted the 7-day trial and he says no problem just needs to see ID...then things got real messy. My boys and I are ready to start eating 45's, fuming of jack3d and this dumbo little prick tells us we cant get a 7-day trial because we are from NY and they only allow CT ID's even tho we clearly showed him that we attend University of Hartford and live in the area. The prick showed no remorse and stated "yeah I shouldve told u guys over the phone you need to be from CT." I responded with the casual "no sh*t retard, I just took 3 scoops of jack3d and am ready to go Ronnie Coleman on these wights..LIGHT WEIGHT BABY." In conclusion, this place sucks and the service is absolutely horrible.

Unprofessional Environment, unprofessional management

A bunch of fake jersey shore douches (guys and girls), not enough weights for the amount of equipment in the gym, unhelpful management top to bottom.
