TERRIBLE customer service. I went with my wife and 2 little boys (3 and 8) after seeing this diner on the food network. It was pouring outside when we arrived, and when we walked in, we were greeted with a very surly waitress who said "There are people already waiting for a table ahead of you".I was taken aback by this greeting, but replied with "that's OK, we're happy to wait". Her response? "You can't wait inside the diner, you're blocking the exit for my customers who are inside already. You'll have to wait outside". I told her that we weren't willing to stand in the rain with 2 little kids, and her reply? "OK..." So we left.

I'm a veteran of the restaurant business, having worked and owned several over the course of 22 years. I've never been treated as such an "inconvenience" before. It reminds me of an old manager of mine..."Damn those pesky customers, this would be such an easy job without them..."

Gourmet diner cuisine. Huge breakfast selection from normal diner breakfast to Irish bacon accompanied by eggs florentine. Gourmet menu has 26 choices. Excellent homemade bread sampler.

Lunch is huge. Steamed cheeseburgers, a local specialty with sweet potato french fries and homemade cole slaw. Always something to please.

College professors, Wesleyan students, celebrities and homeless are all part of the clientel.
