POWDER RIDGE CLOSED. Powder Ridge Ski Area remains closed since the area closed mid season 2005-2006 pending the sale of the ski area.
A resort that's found its niche and stuck to it: wide-open skiing for beginners and late-night fun for everyone..
The Scene
Not along ago, Powder Ridge was one of the nation's true late-night skiing spots; New York and New Jersey skiers loved it for its 3am closing time. Although some feel let down,
the lifts still run every weeknight until 9pm.
The Slopes
The resort offers a 500-foot vertical drop of wide-open slopes. They go wide and with the fall line, providing beginners a safe, easy place to figure out the sport. A nice bonus is the children's terrain garden--a slope that is fenced off and fun for tots. There is a snowboard park and a few runs that are slightly steep and narrow, allowing novices a safe taste of an advanced trail. There's also an expanded snow-tubing park.
