Employees don't care. We went to the Meriden store to buy a GPS map up-date and they didn't have it so they called the Newington store and asked them to physically check which they said they did and said they had one. They were told that we were paying for it in the Meriden store and will be right down to pick it up. When we arrived in the Newington store we were told that they did not have one. We told them that they were called by Meriden and that a physical inventory was done so could they check with the worker who took the call and ask him where he put it. They did not, we physically walked and asked which one is the one who took the call as two people were working in the department. Neither owed up to taking the call. The service desk employees were rude and indifferent, basically saying that they never got a call from Meriden (which I know is a lie as I was standing right there when Meriden did call) and wanting to know which credit card we used and they can credit it back. Not a word about how we just drove all that way to their store because THEIR employee said they had something they didn't nor the time spent. We asked for a manager but we were told there was no manager available, he was in a meeting. Then as we left (we were going back to Meriden where the employees were helpful without the attitudes) the Newington employees at the service desk acted like it was a joke and purposely tried to get us angry by their comments as we walked out the door. I will NEVER go back to this store again and recommend you don't either, there are plenty of others who actually care about their customers.
An electronics store with competitive prices and friendly service..
Circuit City offers a good but not overwhelming selection. Showrooms are medium in size, just enough to display the brand names customers know and respect, such as Hewlett-Packard and Sony. The store carries car and home audio equipment, television accessories (even satellite TV and broadband), cameras, computers and computer accessories, and music and movies. The staff is knowledgeable, but not annoyingly passionate about printing cartridges. When a product does not function correctly, customers can take it to the on-site service center.
