Ruth's Chris Steak House

It's only beef, but what good beef it is!!!!!!!!. I was very hesitant to spend $35 to $45 for a piece of beef as I can cook it myself, but I have to say that the beef at Ruth's Chris's Steak House is worth every penny. We started with stuffed mushrooms and fried oysters, which were both outstanding. The ceasar salad was very good, not excellent, but good and one served two no problem. I loved the ribeye (although it really does float in butter when brought to the table) and the smell of butter is pretty pervasive, so you'd better like butter!!!

The sides are to die for. We had creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes, and both were the best I've ever had.

I have to say as someone who bakes, that the dessert didn't win any awards. I ordered the banana pie which was bland, bland, bland. The carmelized bananas were good, but the filling and crust had NO flavor. Our server, Jen, was excellent and when she asked how we liked the desserts and I said I didn't, she quickly removed it, asked if I wanted anything else, and took it off the check. My friend had the molten chocolate cake which was good, but not great.

I do have to say that I'm sititng here thinking about going back again, so the food leaves a memory. I will go back, maybe not too soon as it is a pricey place but worth the dollars for a special night out.…

Amazing!!!. Been here a few times and love it. The food is of exceptional freshness and quality and the service is nearly faultless. The staff is extremely knowledgable and very approachable. The waiters we've had have been very helpful with suggestions and accomadating to my picky requests. I love that you can add things to your entree (like crab legs or lobster tails). Managers are present in the dining room every time we've been, which is rare even in restaurants of the same quality. This place is truly worthy of 5 stars. Some of my favorite dishes are the calamari, the bone-in ribeye, creamed spinach, and the apple tart.
