HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! TOP-OF-THE-LINE SERVICE, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS!. As a prospective bride I dreamed of having a perfect wedding, and I knew the flowers would play a big part in painting my day just the way I wanted it to be. The key was finding a florist who was creative, artistic, and knew how to work with MY wedding budget (not THEIR idea of how much should be spent on flower arrangements).

At A Victorian Garden, I found what I was looking for in a florist shop. And the result? STUNNING flower bouquets - exactly how I wanted them to look - and customer service that exceeded my already high expectations.

This is my experience: I had a tight wedding budget, was finishing my degree, handling the stressors of a long distance relationship with my fiance, and planning my wedding, all within a 3 month time frame. Talk about major stress! My fiance was/is Active Duty in the Army, and because of possible deployment to Iraq next year we decided to get married in August. Most businesses I went to gave me the "run down" about how little time I gave them to prepare and order the products I wanted. That only added to my stress.

THEN I FOUND A Victorian Garden. The enviornment and my interview with the florist was both relaxing and pleasent. I explained exactly what kind of flowers I wanted, colors, and budget I was working with. My flowers were mostly exotic types and my theme was tropical. The flowers I chose were some of the most expensive but my florist knew how to use those flowers AND stay within my limit. I had full confidence in her ability to make my arrangements perfectly beautiful and exactly what I wanted them to be. To top it off, the owner of the shop took the time to go over the bouquets I wanted, telling me exactly what flowers were being ordered and keeping me updated on all the costs. Both the owner and staff were WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH.

Terrible Service, Outrageous Prices, taking advantage of people's emotions. It almost hurts to even place a star on the Rating board. My Fiance and I had the displeasure of visiting with this florist in Wethersfield, CT.

We had been pain-stakingly talking to many different florists and were willing to travel all the way from New Jersey to see this disaster of an establishment. After speaking with one particular person on the phone, my fiance was quoted a price and was told to come into the place and we would have an appointment made.

After driving for almost three hours to make it to our "appointment", I was greeted by a lady at the front desk who was nice enough to get me to one of the florists.

When the florist came, it was apparent from the start that she was either too busy or too important to speak to us when since she had a wedding planned later on that day. She quickly quoted us some prices, that were probably 2 to 4 time the price quoted to my fiance.

To top it all off, I had asked if we could get better, more in-depth, quotes and suggestions since we had travel all this way and indeed had an "appointment." To this question, the florist nonchalanty glanced in her appointment book and noted that they were booked for the day and reminded me that she was "very busy" due to another even planned later on that day.

During this whole process, there was another florist who could have happily helped me instead of the one given to us.

Not pleased at all, would never go back. I had such a bad experience that I was motivated to sign up at Yelp and actually write this review.
