A Restaurant. I recently ventured out to the downtown area of West Hartford and found a small pizzeria tucked away among the retail chain stores and what a find it was!

Luna Pizza had excellent service and top of the line for a reasonable price. Not only that, the atmosphere makes for the perfect restaurant experience.

I'd like to go through all of the amazing dishes from the menu but you will have to try it for yourself!

Definitely worth the trip if you have to travel!

Simply great thin crust pizza!. thought the menu was pricey until i visited other restaurants in the center area. I had the margerhita pie which was out of this world, also ordered the green apple salad which was delicious. the atmosphere, although it was a full dining room the service was top notch. overall it was a great dining experience and will be returning.

Hot Headed Owner - Beware!. We've been customers for 10 years and have seen ups and downs. There was a period when they couldn't take credit cards or serve alcohol. We stuck with them until now. Tonight we ordered a salad, pizza, and wine. After almost 15 minutes there was no salad. Had to get up and ask the waitress for it. After it came, the pizza arrived 2 minutes later. Crust was so soggy, it was not eatable. Got up to ask waitress to take it back, when a guy who was eating at one of the tables got up and said he was the owner. He looked at our pizza and said he'd re-heat it. He seemed annoyed. I told him we didn't want a re-heated pizza and he very begrudgingly agreed to make a fresh pizza. I asked him for a complementary glass of wine while we waited, and he became incensed. He said he was going to offer the wine, but since I asked for it, we couldn't have it. I recounted the problem with the salad and the pizza, and also remarked about his poor attitude. I told him that we expected good service, but weren't getting it. He told me that they were not servants. I told him we were leaving. He said good, you can go next door to Harry's Pizza, that they have good pizza there. That's what I intend to do in the future, never returning to Luna. This owner guy needs some anger management therapy. P.S. The writeup that says there's a piano at Luna's is wrong. There was in the beginning, but it's been gone for years.

First time there. I stopped by and I ordered a small cheese pizza to go and they automatically charged 10% for the tip. I don't know if you've gone into Mcdonalds before, but I don't remember them charging 10% on an order to go. Then the crust on part of the pizza was partially burned.

bad manager. the manager Matt is extremely rude. we have been faithful customers, ordering pizza almost weekly; however, we are tired of the bad customer service. They mistakenly put us down for a pickup when we requested a delivery. When we inquired where our pizza was & when it would be delivered, he rudely stated that we need to pick it up & that even though they had a mistake, we should have known as they had not requested our delivery address. Since we are regular customers & always ask for a delivery, we assumed they knew our address. He wanted us to pick up the cold pizza. we are now ordering our pizza weekly from Harry's and we suggest others to do likewise.

Disappointed. Called Luna Pizza, said I wanted a pizza for DELIVERY and the lady took my order and then when the order didn't come I called to check and they said I had called the regular phone number and it wasn't delivery so they wanted me to pick up the pizza they made an hour ago for me that they didn't deliver. The manager Alex was very unprofessional and argumentative and I will not eat there again!

bring back the wood. i must say i cant figure out all the negative write ups on this place i have eaten a lot of their pies.... most from their first building in hartford which was a real brick oven .. i can imagine someone calling the ingredients poor quality .it is fine if you dont like the style or just not for you but as far as the ingredients i have not been to a place which has as fresh of ingredients .. that said ... when they had the wood oven in hartford it was unbelieable .. even with out the smokey wood flavor the pizza would get it is still the best italian thin crust i have had ..my pizza of choice so you know where i am coming from .. pepperoni garli .. or would add ricotta at times .. yummy and have to eat it there right out of the oven .. dont compair it to a pan pie or a thick pie it is a different animal

subpar pizza, way too pricy. Not a brick oven pizza, very bland with an undistinctive taste. I have had much better pizza. Also, very pricy, many other options for food in the area for that price.

My favorite pizza!!!. Let me say right off the bat, I am born, raised and live in NY. I walk across the Brooklyn Bridge just to get pizza. Luna's pie with meatball and ricotta is my favorite all time pie. You can taste the fresh ingredients and enjoy a great cheap bottle of wine with it. The owners are friendly and seem to always be there, when I take the 2 hour trek up there, which is quite often. Great atmosphere that I wouldn't shy away from taking my clients there. At the same time I would also bring my 3 year old nephew.

I too am from Brooklyn and have eaten way more pizza than I should have and LUNA is 1 of the top 5 pizza restaurants anywhere. I don't even know what the prices their pizza is fabulous. Now I'm hungry. Their pizza is fabulous. I too, am from Brooklyn where we take pizza pretty seriously. Four of the top 5 pizza resaurants in the world are in Brooklyn. The other one is in West Hartford....LUNA Pizza is great. Go there, you'll love it.
