Only in West Hartford can you find a pizza oven and a baby grand piano in the same room. A pianist plays jazz and classical music on weekends, the perfect accompaniment for the bottles of Chardonnay on each table. Luna Pizza not only spoils customers with piano music and roses, it also proudly welcomes both Levi's and suits.
The Food
Luna Pizza rates among the best brick-oven thin-crust pizza spots in the Hartford area. An uncomplicated one-page menu lists small, medium and large pies as well as grinders and salads. Unusual seafood pizzas like salmon and tuna alla Luna are popular, but you can also get classics like pineapple and ham. Somewhat surprisingly, Luna Pizza offers slices, practically unheard of in sit-down pizza restaurants around these parts.

Luna's has been a family favorite for several years. Not only is their pizza outstanding, the employees are fun and the other food selection is very good as well. The prices really can't be beat!

i must say i cant figure out all the negative write ups on this place i have eaten a lot of their pies.... most from their first building in hartford which was a real brick oven .. i can imagine someone calling the ingredients poor quality .it is fine if you dont like the style or just not for you but as far as the ingredients i have not been to a place which has as fresh of ingredients .. that said ... when they had the wood oven in hartford it was unbelieable .. even with out the smokey wood flavor the pizza would get it is still the best italian thin crust i have had ..my pizza of choice so you know where i am coming from .. pepperoni garli .. or would add ricotta at times .. yummy and have to eat it there right out of the oven .. dont compair it to a pan pie or a thick pie it is a different animal

Luna's has exceptional thin-crust pizza. I've never been disappointed, and I've been to both the West Hartford and Plainville locations. The interior is very nice, comfortable, the food is well priced and delicious. The staff has always been friendly and its never taken long to get our pizza. I would highly recommend them.
