You can travel around the city and sample Trout Brook's award winning Hooker Ale, but nothing compares to tasting the brewery's unique libations in the shadow of the giant steel brew tanks.. The Scene:
Trout Brook's massive brick walled interior gives off the nostalgic impression of turn-of-the-century city breweries. Don't let the weekend-daytime family crowd scare you off: young dads need to drink good beer too. In addition to the Hooker Ale, the tap pours a smooth and dark Parkville porter, a light summer ale, and a host of seasonal beers and ales. Once the evening crowd gathers, the Brewery morphs into a music pub. In Hartford, Trout Brook continually tops the "best of the city" voting in microbrew and pub categories. This is one of the few taverns that features a quiet, cigar room off the main entrance for those who enjoy a long, slender thing with their Hooker.
