best spot for a cool summer treat. Tulmeadow Farm offers the most delicious ice cream/sherbet/frozen yogurt anywhere. Its fresh made right on sight and if you crave more you can even pick some up to go at the farm store. Such a great summer treat. Highly highly recommend.

Bring the kids and pig out on farm-fresh ice cream at this roadside stand.. The Scene
Soccer moms, chocolate-faced toddlers, business execs and police officers sit on hay bales slurping their favorite flavors. With wagons of potted flowers, dried country wreaths and the smell of cows wafting from the barns across the street, you'll get a whole lot of country with your cone.

The Food
Since 1994, Don Tuller and his crew have dished up rich, creamy scoops of farm-made ice cream to their loyal fans. On scorching summer days, up to 1,000 people can queue up for the signature flavor: red-raspberry chocolate chip. Fresh-tasting flavors include cherry vanilla, cookies and cream, peach and 25 other choices. Accessorize sundaes with Gummi Bears, walnuts and blueberries, or order shakes (malted or not) or coolers. Trying to melt off the pounds? Opt instead for skinnier sorbet, sherbet or low-fat/nonfat frozen yogurt.

MOoooo YEAH. Love the stuff......we are there almost every night. Since we live right down the street we can walk over...pig out and walk it off on the way home.

mmm..... I grew up in Simsbury, and after graduation from college, I have recently settled in Charlotte, NC. Let me tell you....I miss the days of Tulmeadow Farm!! Not only was the homemade ice cream unbelievable, but I had the opportunity to spend my summers watching everyone else enjoy the "ice dream" because I was employed there as a scooper. What a wonderful summer job...and let me tell you, nothing in North Carolina even compares to Tulmeadow!! Raspberry Chocolate Chip...mmmmm....
