Under new management, What a shame..... Sadly, Elizabeth's is under new management. The new owner is arrogant and rude and the food quality and value has gone downhill. Elizabeth's used to be a nice place to eat with great food and a great staff. I had never been disappointed there. Since the change, I got take out twice the first time was poor but I gave it another chance. The LAST time I drove back to return the food and get my money back. The worst part was when my wife asked for the owner on the phone he refused, he also refused when I drove back to return the food and asked to speak with him about the quality of his food. He said he was too busy to talk to a customer. Pathetic!
Dissapointing. I've visited Elizabeth's a number of times previously, but this was my first time back since the ownership change. On the surface, change was not apparent. The quaint atmosphere, menu, wine list, and the waitress all looked familiar. Positives were the quality of the fresh Italian bread, my pork loin, mashed potatoes, and seasonal fresh veggies, as well as a nice Chianti. My companion
love it!. There is a new owner in town! Just recently a new chef took over management at Elizabeth's Restaurant. I used to go there often (under the old ownership) and I thought his food was quite delicious. However, now, I can truly say the specials are mouthwatering and offer something that many other restaurants in the area lack! The last time I ate there, I brought my brother for dinner and I ordered the rack of lamb... MMMMM.. It was marinated in the chef's homemade concoction of rosemary, olive oil and garlic. It was served with a hefty helping of roasted garlic mashed potatoes and french cut green beans. He is an exceptional chef and I look forward to returning with more friends and family.
Disapointed with our dinner.
We have been to Elizabeth's many times and was never disapointed until this evening. I took my husband out to dinner for his birthday. The appetizers were good I ordered the veal piccatta it was served in a large bowl but had only three very very small pieces of veal over a mound of angel hair pasta that would have served two people. We wanted dessert only two items listed. Very disapointed and will not go back or recommend it to anyone.
