The owner of Bicycle South Windsor is a perfectionist and completely comfortable with all aspects of the fitting, sales and service of bicycles. In most cases his customers are good customers and good people. Nothing is more disturbing than a customer faking being a good customer and then writing some babyish complaint when, in fact, the issue could have been dealt with by in-person communication and listening skills. The guarantees he provides for sales and service leave nothing to complain about, unless the customer is just an unhappy person to begin with. The shop is not born of a big corporation, it has been nurtured for over sixteen years by one very honest individual, so if you are a bad customer perhaps you should rethink your communications skillset - or just go somewhere else. Yes, I am very proud of my husband!
Very poor experience. Owner has a very short fuse reacting unbelievably hostile to a question I asked him. He refused to answer the question and wanted to charge me to answer it. Can't recommend this shop to anyone. I'd be concerned they'd have a similar experience. See other reviews on other sites, its not the first time he's become hostile to a customer. He doesn't apologize, blames customers.

badly disappointed – I went in to get advice on purchasing a road bike. What i got was a waste of my time. The owner is a rude condescending looser who thought I was asking to many questions. I was unfamiliar with bike construction and accessories but I guess he did not have the time nor the personality to provide the information I needed to make a purchase. I would not buy a valve stem cover from that poor excuse of a business owner.

I took it for a quick ride this afternoon you did a Great Job on the bike it rides amazing, it shifts through the gears smoother than EVER, it brakes cleanly and rides quieter than it has ever ridden. Fastidious Attention to Detail Makes It Worth The Trip
The owner, who has 18 full years of experience in the bicycle business, a Master of Arts degree in education, and 14 years in as a nationally registered racer (1990-2004), including having rode with Lance Armstrong (in 1993), does all the sales, assembly, and repair work himself. Consequently, he has little patience for nonsense unrelated to his art. He does meticulously detail-oriented work, and guarantees it all for a full year, because he prides himself on doing it right the first time. Who else can say all that? He catches things that most other mechanics would never even notice. I've personally seen it. He prides himself on "having one of everything" it takes to get you right back in the saddle and on your way. His pricing is extraordinarily fair, and he goes out of his way to ensure your satisfaction, so if it's your cycle that needs care, then this is the place for sure!
