totally garbage

I work next door to this place and let me just say we had to hire terminex to regularly come to keep their rats and roaches away from our building!!!!! The health inspector has been there on a number of occasions, shutting them down for a couple of days at a time usually. Gross!!!!!!!!!!

Finally a real NY diner in CT!

Since moving to CT about 10 years ago from NY we have found two things were missing here: real NY style Pizza and a real NY style diner. The latter has been found. The Vernon Diner has it all...authentic greek style foods and traditional diner fare complete with homemade soups and homemade desserts. The NY style cheesecake alone is worth the trip from anywhere. The cheesecake, made on site, is a 6" thick creamy delight mounded with fresh strawberries. Service is friendly and prompt. Thursday evenings often offer entertainment-a greek accordian player accompanied by various singers and instruments. The Vernon diner is an exit off of I84 well worth taking.

Husband and wife owned and worked. Family atmosphere. Omlets are considered among the best breakfast food offered;must try Eggs Benedict!!! You want deserts-WOW!!! Check it out.
- Pros: Friends, good food, ample parking
- Cons: weekends-noisy PM, smoking counter
