Family-friendly steakhouse chain boasts a hearty selection and generous portions.. In Short
Named for a mountain range in the Canadian Rockies, this restaurant's interior has the atmosphere of a rustic hunting lodge. Talking animal heads provide side-show entertainment, but the primary attraction is the steak: prime cuts of sirloin, T-Bone, ribeye and prime rib. Hungry patrons are satiated by large portions of spit-roasted chicken, grilled salmon and Canadian jambalaya. Dessert lovers indulge with the chocolate "moose" cake, decadent layers of white chocolate mousse.

By far the best restaurant in the Hartford County. Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse is the best that it gets. The food is always excellent, and generously portioned. The service and staff are always excellent, nice and friendly. The canadian theme is quite warm and inviting, especially during the cooler months with the grand fireplace always going. I dine there at least once a week, if not more...and do not usualy have any issues. As with every restaurant, there will be a mistake sometimes, but at bugaboo both our server and a manager always make sure that the problem is fixed. Since there are many different restaurants in the same area, there is a lot to choose from..but in my opinion try Bugaboo Creek first..and Im sure you will have an awesome experience!

Great meal. Bugaboo is definately the best value for any steak lover. The meals aren't extravagent, but they sure are good. The Canadian lodge motif isn't romantic or private and the staff isn't always at your beckoned call, but I still go regularly. You really can't beat 2 steak meals (meat, salad, potato & bread) with drinks (not alcoholic) and a shared dessert for about $40. If your looking for some good red meat, Bugaboo is the place. Just be sure to call ahead, so you can get on the waiting list, because there will definately be a wait.

Learn to cook a well done steak. Bugaboo's has the best smashed potatoes. I like their steaks but they do not know how to cook a well done steak.

When i am served and cut into my steak it is bloody. No wait staff in site. It is very frustrating waiting 45 minutes to an hour for a table. Then, we must wait another 30-45 minutes for them to burn my steak.
