I did not receive a confirmation call so I called them just to make sure as this was my first visit to the salon. When I called they said "someone should have called you, the stylist just up an left about 3 weeks ago." ??? huh?? I had that appointment booked for a month and needed to get my hair done before an event. I advised her that no one had called me and they had three weeks to do so... Very unprofessional. Thank goodness I didn't drive all the way down there only to find out I did not have an appointment! Now I have to wait another three weeks to get in at another salon. The girl who answered the phone did not even apologize - she just said "hmmm." I think I will take my business elsewhere, somewhere more reliable.
They make your day.
I have been coming to Venoras since living in Glastonbury and find it worth the ride from Windsor Locks. Reasonably priced and Lisa and Jon always generous donors for our
Local Lion's Club Wine Tasting Auction.
not a good experience.
I made two appointments for a microdermabrasion for myself and my mother and it took me two months to get an appt.
We showed up this morning and were told "sorry, we no longer have the equipment available and the esthetician is no longer here, sorry!" i could not believe that no one called me to tell me. i was very upset and told them so. at this point we were offered and free facial. i told them no, i paid for a microdermabrasion and that i would like my money back from groupon. At this point, the owner finally came over (she was just listening the whole time) and gave me the name of the salon where the esthetician had gone and told me to call her and make our appointments w/ her and she would make it right.
I was very dissapointed in the whole experience and would never go to Venora's for anything after this experience today. The owner should be ashamed!
Excellent Service and very Professional.
I've been going to Venora's for many years and love the personalities of the professionals working there.
They are very friendly and helpful. They offer all that a great full service salon has to offer and more, from the heart.
Treat yourself today and make an appointment, you'll be happy you did.
Great Experience. I just moved into the area and received a gift certificate from the chamber of commerce for Venoras. Upon arrival I was warmly greated and given a tour of the salon and introduced to all the staff. My stylist was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. I was very pleased with my cut and can't wait to try their other services. I would recommend this salon to everyone.
To rushed.. I have been going to Heidi for a year. The last time I was there she was very rushed and rude. She made a comment about how my hair was too long and that I didn't need it that long. When I do make an appointment I'm always rushed. She is usually running an 1/2 behind. after my last experience I will not be back.
Top Notch. I've been going here since they opened 12? years. Everyone is friendly, know you by name. I trust my hair with any stylist and believe me I tried them all at some point because of availablity, not because I was dissatisfied with any. They ALL know their stuff. I've had massages, regular, stone, exfolient, awesome, facials, pedicures, and I have Light Concept Nails. I'm there every 2 weeks for pedicures and nail fills. Candice, Cathy and Deb are the best. I go every 4 weeks for my hair, and as often as I can for the rest of the spa treatments. Their busy atmosphere demonstrates their excellent service and ability to accomodate everyones needs. I just hate when I get there 15 minutes early and have to test the cookies, pizza at noon, cheese & crackers in the afternoon while I wait for my appt. It is my piece of heaven here on earth. It is the best.
Not worth it. I've gone to this salon 2 times, because I wanted to like it and give the stylists a chance (plus I'm new to the area). I felt rushed each time I've been here. The stylists are double booked and are always running behind (except for Lisa the owner). The last time I went here I asked for highlights and low lights to complement my blond hair. The stylist dyed my hair brown then added white highlights and left me under the dryer forever! Once she realized the mistake she added toner to try to correct the problem. I miss my blond hair, and my old highlights. The stylist rushed through styling my hair and styled it the way she thought it should be done rather than what I asked for. I will NEVER go here again!!
Pedicure was definitely not worth the money!. The pedicure was advertised as including a "reflexology massage." If I got one, I was not aware of it. The only thing that might have counted as a "massage" was a very weak rub, like one would do themselves putting lotion on. Also, the pedicure started 15 minutes late, and lasted only 45 minutes as opposed to the advertised "hour." It was definitely not worth $50 plus tip. You can get a better pedicure for half that price at Sera Nails. Plus, it is more relaxing at Sera. The massage chairs are better there and you don't feel pressured to converse with the pedicurist the whole time.
I love venora's. I love this place. Lisa and her employees make you feel like you are home the second you step through the door. Service is clean, professional and friendly. Candace does a super job on manicures and pedicures and lisa is ace with hair cuts.
