Featuring a hefty drink menu of 32 microbrews, weekend DJs, and live entertainers on selected nights, this suburban Marriott Hotel lounge keeps Hartford regulars and business trekkers coming back. The weekend dance floor intermittently gives way to live-music acts--usually jazz or blues singers on guitar. At the other end of the bar, eight satellite TVs allow patrons to keep an eye on their favorite gods and goddesses of sport.

Honestly, the first time I went in I was unimpressed. It seemed like an odd place to go when there are so many hip and trendy places around. I sat at the corner of the odd four beamed rectangular bar. Fate (and business) brought me back and I was pleasantly suprised by the staff. All courteous, customer oriented. Ask for whatever you want they will get it. I have noticed that patience and manners are often rewarded with suprising intellectual conversation. And there are regulars hidden among the travelers. A unique social experience. And how many bars can you name where the bartenders will recommend other places to go in hopes of establishing a long term friendship. Very suprising.
Pros: 3 distinct menus, high end liquor, unpredictable

I went with a few friends after work for happy hour. We ate and drank and had a really good time. A band was starting when we left and they were really good, so a couple of us went home and changed and came back later and had a great time. I wish I new of this place sooner. It is defintly cool, especially for a hotel bar.
Pros: Fun yet relaxing, Great music and menu!, Wonderful staff
Cons: 10 min. from Hartford, music only fri/sat, Happy hour until 7pm
