We have been coming to Max A Mia for four years now. The food is always consistent and excellent and so is the service. They are always extremely busy so even with a reservation there is sometimes a wait. It's called patience! And the food and service are well worth it. The staff is always wonderful...we have never had a bad experience there. Don't listen to that one negative review!
Craving Italian but can't find a babysitter? Get the kids and head for this family-friendly eatery.. The Scene Don't expect too much flash or flair here. This Max (one of four) is a family-friendly, casual spot with upscale food. The spacious dining room is divided by a bar area that's heavily populated with the after-work crowd. It can get noisy during peak hours, but the food is worth the trouble.
The Food Dig into the complimentary herb-crusted bread with soft-roasted garlic while you decide on a main course. Stone pies (pizzas) come with everything from goat cheese and prosciutto di Parma to broccoli rabe and fennel sausage. Risotto with duck confit and dried cherries, gnocchi in a fresh English pea sauce and veal with Madeira wine sauce are just a few of the nonpizza entrees. Whatever your main course, a bowl of gelato will end the meal on a sweet note.
