Big Improvements to Avon Old Farms Inn. My wife and I are big fans of Filet Mignon and have tried just about all the good restaurants in ct... We revisited Avon Old Farms Inn in September of 2009 and ordered the Filets.... May I say absolutely exquisite!? tender, wonderful seasonings, and charasmatic service.

Simply a must try next time your in the Avon, Connecticut area.

The Live music was a real treat while enjoying our meal.

Amazing food and atmosphere!. Amazing!!! I live right down the road and keep driving by the Inn but havne't gone in- but they had this great piano player there the other weekend who i have seen at other places in the area- and when i heard he was going to be at the Inn i stopped in.

The food was delicious- perfectly cooked- great flavors- really amazing. I haven't had that kind of food in a while. The place was packed that night- it was great. I love older buildings and this one really takes the cake- 250 something years old- absolutely beautiful on the inside. I highly recommend this place ot anyone looking for a fun weekend night out at a place with amazing food!!!

BEST BEST BEST food, service and atmosphere in CT. I have lived in West Hartford all my life and have gotten tired of the same places to eat out in West Hartford. My wife and I were planning a night out for her sister's 40th birthday and decided it would be fun to try out the Inn, especially after hearing them on WTIC. We planned a dinner with a private room, the Hunt room, and had about 15 people come. It turned out to be such an amazing evening. We were able to have our on little party and didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was spectacular- it was just the change of pace we were looking for. We were able to get lots of different appetizers and share them and then each get our own meal. It was so amazing I can't stop thinking about it. Our server was very friendly and attentive- which is hard when you are in a private room you often get forgotten. We had such an amazing time I can't wait to go back! We hear they are doing special events- so hopefully we will go for that. So worth the short drive to get away from the usual!!!

BEST FOOD IN THE FARMINGTON VALLEY!!!!!!! BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!!. My friends and I heard the Inn was recently bought and has a new chef so we decided to check it out. First of all, I love the building. It is so beautiful and full of history. I was very impressed with its inside appearance due to the changes. We sat in the Tavern and there was live music!!! AWESOME music. The food was SPECTACULAR!!!!! I haven't eaten that well in so long it was unbelievable. I can't stop thinking about it. It was different from anything in the area- really interesting spin on the food. Amazing flat bread which we split, and these really nachos with tuna that are asian style. I haven't eaten that well for that price in a long time- we were very happy especially because we are trying to save money. I have been back twice with my family for brunch on Sunday yuummmm. The other time i went with my boyfriend and sat in the Forge which is such a romantic room and so unique! It is a converted blacksmith shop and the booths are the hold horse stables! So cool. I would hands down recommend this place to anyone it is good for all ages and so fun! I LOVE AVON OLD FARMS INN!!!

We used to enjoy the Sunday buffet. Years ago we'd go to their sunday buffet's. Quite enjoyable. This was back in my single days. Also when we lived in the area. Great food

Kosher in Hartford!. Avon Old Farms Inn is about the only place around Hartford you can go for a sit down Kosher meal that's not associated with a Bar Mitzvah or a Wedding. They only have their Kosher meals on certain nights of the month, so call ahead and ask.
