Not worth the money. Went for our anniversary and was completely disappointed. Very loud atmospere and food was just okay. Dessert was very good but overall just not worth the price.

We had steak here. Reasonable, We'd visit again. Prices seemed quite reasonable as well. Steak's were cooked as ordered. so-so atmosphere.

This upscale eatery specializes in seafood, but the tender steaks and extensive wine list have won fans of their own.. The Scene
The owner might have begun his restaurant career with a degree in "Hamburgerology" from McDonald's University, but all that's remained from those days is prompt service. White linen covers the tables both inside the large dining room and outside on the seasonal patio. The decor is simple but elegant, as are the food presentations.

The Food
The appetizers are so good, entrees may go untouched. The house crab cakes are lump crab meat encased in a golden crust of potato strings. Fried lobster tails are light without a trace of grease. All fish selections can be poached, broiled or blackened at your request, but servers can suggest the best cooking method. The steaks are as good as the seafood, with a buttery consistency that'll melt in your mouth.

Connecticut's Best!. Carmen Anthony in Avon continues to be one of the area's premier restaurants. The level of service matches any great restaurant in the country. It is truly 5 Star! The steaks are very good, but it is the creative seafood that stands out here. The fish is always fresh and prepared several different ways to order. The salads are great and innovative. Our favorite dishes include Shrimp Christina and Lobster Fra Diavlo. The whole dining experience here is wonderful!

Fishhouse? Carmen's Steakhouse is where. Yes the Carmen Anthonys Fishhouse in Avon is great and indeed, they do have great steaks but it is a Fishhouse, they mostly serve seafood not steak. Now, If you want to experience some of the best steaks and best service in Connecticut please check out the Carmen Anthonys Steakhouse in Waterbury. They have some of the best service and most importantly best food in Connecticuthands down. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. The only competition this place has in CT is Ruth Chriss. If you want a outstanding prime rib, or a superb New York Strip that you will truly remember and talk about for months head on down to Carmen Anthonys Steakhouse in Waterbury, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic!. The food was fantastic in this romantic setting. Had a wonderful time due in part to our server who definetely went above and beyond. What a great experience!
