Senator John. This is simply the greatest restaurant to have in any city. The servers and service in hartford is top notch, nothing like the stuffy service at the Max joints. Maitr'd's very attentive to everything happening and the chef was kind enough to give me his hat!! As far as prices, morton's is worth everypenny, plus 50% tips to all employees!!!
Simply Awsome.
Morton's is the final word in Dining.
The atmosphere and wait staff will blow you away with a European Style elegance. The food, especially the filet, and the Godiva Chocolate Dessert are worth every dime.
Best steak in town.. Morton's does the best in the Hartford area. They're also by far the most expensive. If you want the steakhouse experience go to Morton's.
Waste of Money. Food was terrible, good wine selection. Pricing was out of sight, Do NOt waste your money.
Splendid. A great atmosphere, allows for a dressy simple evening out. AWESOME food, AWESOME wine.
$$$$. pricy, slow but excellant meal. Great selection of meat. Salad subperb.
Right On!. If you want to eat a great steak, and lots of it, then Morton's is the place! I'm not, however, surprised that they didn't take first place. Most people in Hartford, and CT as a whole, are too cheap to eat at Morton's.
Very well rated.
Morton's of Chicago belongs on the top ten steak restaurants for Hartford. Why?
The sophicated elegance and,"we all belong" attidue of this fine establishment is in a leauge of it's own. You definatly don't find any penny pinchers or those cheap, " I have a 2 for 1 coupon", customers here. The vibe in the air is of anticipation while waiting for your steak, like when waiting for a 4th of July firework festival to start. That's the quality and service I like. Excellent Service, The #1 Best Steak in Connecticut.
EAT STEAK RIGHT. The best steakhouse in CT is Mortons. The food is always fresh and prepared just right. The only drawback is everything is ala carte. Even though it is on the expensive side, you get what you pay for. The steak is much better than Ruth Chris.
I love Chicago steak houses. My first Morton's experience was in Chicage many years ago and I was apprehensive if a local clone would measure up. I was delighted to find that it did. The only thing missing was my post dinner stroll down Rush Street and Michigan Ave. I hope more people drive into Hartford to sample this gem of a restaurant. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion or if you want to impress. Now if we could get a nice jazz bar or two close by...
